Becoming a Member

Becoming a member of AIPLD ensures that you are recognised as being an L&D professional with the highest standards to learning, training and development of yourself and others.

Our membership process has been designed to be uncomplicated yet thorough, as we understand the importance of your time.

Membership is open to individuals who are able to demonstrate their competency and capability within their professions, whether employed or self-employed.

We have three levels which allow you to use post-nominal letters, which you can then move through as your experience and ability increases. You can apply for any level, as long you are able to demonstrate your ability and experience.

Associate (AAIPLD)

Member (MAIPLD)

Fellow (FAIPLD)

Each new member will be allocated a membership number that will be unique to them throughout their time with AIPLD, and will be used as point of reference whenever contacting us.

Membership Tiers

Associate

We understand when you are fresh to the learning and development industry, therefore this membership is designed with you in mind. You may be new in your business, and learning the processes to become a trainer or facilitator, having just completed a train the trainer course or as a junior in an L&D enviroment.

This membership is ideal for you as you may have less than 2 years experience. You need to demonstrate what you know, and we can offer you a post-nominal that will help others see that you have the knowledge, but need further experience to grow.

Associate fees are:

£105.00 (+VAT)* paid annually via standing order

*There is a one-off administration fee of £49.00 (+VAT)

Member

As a learning and development professional with some leadership experience in the role, you may want to consider this membership tier, as this would be ideal for an individual with over three years experience in L&D and maybe a supervisory or management position.

This level will open doors to a more senior level of L&D as you will be able to demonstrate the successes and the challenges faced with you and your business.

Associate fees are:

£105.00 (+VAT)* paid annually via standing order

*There is a one-off administration fee of £49.00 (+VAT)

Fellow

As a highly experienced manager within learning and development, we would expect you to be working at a strategic level supporting others to advance ion their careers.

We would obviously want you to share your experiences and demonstrate this when applying for this level. We would encourage you to work and and support your people in enhancing their abilities.

Associate fees are:

£105.00 (+VAT)* paid annually via standing order

*There is a one-off administration fee of £49.00 (+VAT)

*VAT is only added if it is applicable to you

Benefits of an AIPLD Membership

Firstly, your people will be recognised by their peers of having the competence of being a trainer – we know how difficult it can be in the more strenuous environment of having the recognition as there are many individuals that become trainers without having the credence
For your trainees that become recognised as AAIPLD, it shows the commitment to the CPD from their company or the training provider
We are making changes to the AIPLD, and they will receive the Aspire to be You e-Magazine every quarter.
They will be invited (at a reduced cost) to attend AIPLD events globally and meet and network with like-minded people from the world of people development.
There are other things we are working on which will be notified to all as soon as they become a reality.
